Hugh Jackman has played a huge role in the x-men movies. In fact, in X-men Days of Future Past, He was practically the main character. He even got his own gig in a standalone wolverine Movie. Yup, he practically made those movies what they are. When Sony made and released Old Man Logan the movie, it was the end of the era for Hugh Jackman and he has only hinted at returning as The Wolverine. One thing he said while on an interview wth screenrant, “At the moment, honestly, if I really did have [the other Marvel characters] there, I probably wouldn’t have said this is the last”
Marvel has made a few announcements over the past few weeks. They have announced a few big titles such as Black Widow standalone title, The Eternal’s, Doctor strange and the Multiverse of Madness, a few others and lastly a Hulk vs Wolverine Movie. If any of you recall Hugh Jackman stating he could see that happening while on an interview with screen rant. He could just see Wolvie there with hulk and iron man. Between that and the directors looking for Hugh Jackman to reprise the role or pick up another character within the MCU as a fan favorite.
Recent reports indicated that Marvel is looking at adapting the iconic Wolverine vs. Hulk storyline as one of their upcoming projects and apparently, the studio is hoping that the actor will return for the film. According to TVO from the Lords of the Long Box YouTube channel:
“It’s Hugh Jackman’s part to turn down. They are leaving the door open for him.”
This has yet to be confirmed by Hugh Jackman or anyone from marvel. For now the biggest news rumors to top this off is theres another contender in the running for a reboot of wolverine.
