Top Pick Number 5

Spider-verse #1 Second Print

The universe needs saving.. again?

Miles Morales finally feels like he GETS this Spider-Man stuff… and then falls through a portal! But isn’t the WEB OF LIFE & DESTINY destroyed? Maybe not, True Believer. But who spun this new web? Regardless, Miles finds himself at the center of a multiversal adventure that will feature a who’s who of creators and characters as the series spins forward! And each issue features #SPIDERSONAS from some of the biggest Spidey fans and comic creators both!

Why its our top pick this week

THis COmic First Print came in pretty Hot right off the shelves when fellow collectors found out about a new #spidersona NAmed Spiderman:ZERO. Pretty neat name for a spiderman. Anyways this series has been alot of fun to read and its worth getting the second print. Plus the art is amazing

RV9 #1

Its the conclusion of this epic series!

Former assassin Velveteen is on the run from the Order of the 9, the organization that took her from her family and forced her into a life where all she knows is secrecy, violence, and death. Now, after years of running, she is bringing the fight to them. With help from an American hacker, Jasper, and a rookie officer with an attitude, Inspector Pazzi, Velveteen will use everything she was taught by the Order of the 9 against them.

Why We Chose It

Interesting New Comic from an interesting title of a Comic Book Company. This is an Indie book for the ages. MAD Cave has had quite a few hits as of late so this one is expected to be no different. We Expect the character to grow, and her sidekick has been said to be funny. so who can say no to interesting characters and development.
This comic is more of a Read the book comic and less of a collectors item, but it is a number one so that’s something to note for you investors.

Top Pick Number 3

Morbius #1

Morbius in his own series

For years, Nobel Prize winning biologist Michael Morbius has been struggling to cure himself of his vampirism, and now, for the first time in years, one may be within reach! But the path to it is littered with dangers and worse!

Why It Made The Cut

First OFF, the most obvious reason is due to the announcement of the movie. slated for a 2020 release. you can read up on those details HERE.

Secondly were excited to read about the inner conflicts and hopefully some amazing in depth sight to how and why Morbius was created. and how he deals with it as a character. I think what were seeing is that classic spider man villain try to fix himself but hurt people on the way. Spider-man has had ongoing bouts with him as well as blade. Hopefully there’s a few tie ins. That would be exciting.

Top Pick Number 2

Marvel Zombies: Resurrection #1

When an island full of unspeakable horrors appears on the horizon, the X-Men have their work cut out for themselves keeping Krakoa safe!

Why we chose it

Its Xmen and who can go wrong with picking up an xmen comic here or there. But the major reason we picked this one is because its the first appearance of a new xmen character… NO spoilers.. but if you have the key collector app, you probably already know.  Sometimes big speccers ruin everything. Just kidding, but seriously worth the pick up.

What its about

N.K. Jemisin, the acclaimed, award-winning author of The Broken Earth and Inheritance science fiction trilogies, makes her comic book debut with bestselling Naomi artist Jamal Campbell as they thrust you into a stunning sci-fi murder mystery on the other side of the universe!

For the past six months, newly chosen Green Lantern Sojourner “Jo” Mullein has been protecting the City Enduring, a massive metropolis of 20 billion people. The city has maintained peace for over 500 years by stripping its citizens of their ability to feel. As a result, violent crime is virtually unheard of, and murder is nonexistent.

But that’s all about to change in this new maxiseries that gives a DC Young Animal spin to the legacy of the Green Lanterns!

Why We chose it

DC is trying to follow the trends with characters, hoping to gain some success with this series, its the debut of the first Black Femal Green lanter comic series. How exciting. So this one is a key for the ages.

Worth Picking up a few to alot of these comics, will be worth picking them up. possible quick flip and long term investment. Especially since DC print runs have been quite a bit lower these days.

Special mention

Usagi Yojimbo #6

In this 35th anniversary month of Usagi Yojimbo, Stan Sakai revisits the very first Usagi story, ‘The Goblin of Adachigahara’, expanding it from 8 to 24 pages and adding new insights into the characters and events, as well as revealing the reason for Usagi’s pilgrimage back home.

Why its the contender

This Comic has picked up a lot of steam for underground comic fans. Most people don’t really know about it, but its simple and elegant art style does a lot. Worth checking out due to its expansion of the original story. But we didn’t feel this one quite made the top 5 this week.
